Mellbridge Support Services is a specialist provider working with people whose homes are so full of belongings or materials or so chronically unhygienic or disorganised that it endangers their wellbeing and/or their ability to live safely in their own home. This includes unsafe access fro care staff, threat of eviction because of the conditions within the home or enforcement activity by Environmental Health.

We operate in and around East Lancashire - Blackburn, Darwen Burnley, Hyndburn and Rossendale.

Our starting point is always a thorough assessment covering the person/householder's view (and those of others who live in the accommodation), the need for action/reason for referral, the property (and any outside areas if appropriate) and the risks posed  to the occupants by the state of the property.

Where the person is not currently living in the home we would expect to both meet with them and to visit the property.

Along with the householder we then compile a de-cluttering plan identifying both immediate and further activity needed, usually on a room by room basis.

We never remove items or material without the permission of the householder, Neither do we dispose of items with a realisable value (e.g. we do not sell items on behalf of the householder or arrange for others to buy them).

We are not a cleaning service, but we may 'make good' certain areas once materials have been removed.
